At long last, poor stock market widows or widowers who lost their significant others to the thrall of the stock market are finally jubilant because the market is closed today! At long last, they can expect the full and undivided attention of their significant others.

All over the US, and even in certain parts of the world, people are happily munching BBQ’d ribs, and they’re barely glancing at their PDAs and hardly visiting their favorite financial websites.

Today is a great day indeed for people who don’t care about the stock market. For the rest of us, it’s just a mis-placed Sunday that’s interupting the real action.
