NYX worth a premium price?

One stock that might be worth an extra premium is . The NYSE is a financial powerhouse, with an incredible reputation, and they’re merging into a huge international company. If you consider the nature of the NYSE and how venerable the institution is, you have to consider buying this stock.

The deal isn’t quite done yet for Euronext, and there are a series of strategic moves that competitors Deutsche Boerse and Nasdaq Stock Market Inc can, and probably, will make. If the merger does go through though, then you’re looking at a company worth $20 billion and with unprecedented global pull. The way people trade stocks will change immediatedly, and the capital markets of the world will become even more liquid. This might even set off a greater era of prosperity, as more and more internation capital is available for investment into startups.

The ambition is huge and the dangers are real, but NYX is on my watchlist now. If the stock stumbles, there could be a good buying opportunity.
