Terrorist news is never good for the stock market, and it’s usually bad for the airlines. But today ended up being not too bad for investors. The airlines actually fared okay today.
The financial toll on the carriers and whether they will have to scrap their higher ticket price strategy depends on how long the threat lasts, analysts and industry consultants said on Thursday. But, they pointed out, the airlines have been able to weather such upheaval before.
The airlines were starting to recover, so this could be a big blow to their operations. The airline stocks are worthy of a close look these days. How bad investors take the news in the next few days might make the stock worthy of investment.
Right now, the market hangs tough, but wait until tomorrow to see how everything gets digested.
