Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) took the Senate floor and spoke about Enron, oil futures, speculation and energy prices.

Sen. Sanders feels that the United States has to deal with the greed of the oil companies and oil speculators who are manipulating the market. As well as dealing with these issues, he feels that America should be looking for renewable and greener energy sources and relying less on foreign oil.

This is when businesses start getting touchy, but just like in the old days of Rockefeller, the Government is known to step in when they feel an industry needs regulation.

What are your thoughts on energy regulation and the Government? Talk about it in our forums.
