AZ1 said: "So what criteria do you guys look for, for daytrading? High Volume...?? Active stock..?? Positive Momentum..?? what else? Thanks"

thezster said: "regular spreads during the day."

AZ1 said: "
regular spreads during the day.
How do you find company with regular spreads?"

thezster said: "Find companies you know and like.... study them for days/weeks/months..... then select the ones that suit your proposed trading style."

jdo16 said: "Yes you should study a stock for sometime before you buy them."

bennettbike said: "alright. MSFT (Microsoft) Has not really left 25$ in years. Buy when its low, Sell when its high, although the share price makes it hard for beginners with lack of capital."

HappyHarry said: "You need serious bucks to make money on daytrading $25+ stocks."

thezster said: "
You need serious bucks to make money on daytrading $25+ stocks.
True - but it's a very good way to consistently make $$........"

HappyHarry said: "I don't doubt that for a second. If you can trade several thousand shares, you can make great money. But then, if you can hold several thousands of stocks for a few years, you can also make great money."

Most of all the pennies that are hyped do this,,,,,,,,,,With 1k you can make 300.00 per day if you BUY when it hits example... -30% and when it goes +30 sell. There are A LOT of stocks like this..... But, do your investigating. INSN is a penny that flips OFTEN. HDVY CNES"

Have about 20k in a trading account and have been playing AMX a couple of times a week for a month or so. Nothing huge, but profitable. Usually has a pretty good range to trade in and I've been comfortable playing it a couple of times a week, in and out the same day. Just enough to avoid getting restricted by AMTD. Hope to get my acct over 50k in the next year and start playing with some real money. Just my thoughts."

MPBigley said: "Pretty good daily range the last few also, you can nickel and dime it up and down, and mostly down the last few days because of their recent earnings call. There are some dollars in the spreads there in the last few days."

Ryan0000 said: "i'm sure this is a newbie question....... but why would it matter if the stocks were at $25 a share or $2.50 a share? If you were to buy, say, $1000 worth of a $25/s stock and $1000 worth of a $2.5/s stock, and they both increased 20%, wouldn't you end up with the same result?"

wildmandan32 said: "Ryan you are correct but many investors can not buy 1000 shares of a $25 stock, and if you can afford to, I would rather find a $2.5 stock and buy 10,000 shares....I find that the majority of the stocks in my trading portfolio are in the high teens to low $20 range. But I love it when I find a stock less than $10 that makes me a quick profit. profits are better than wages. danio"
