just a little intro

arizona steve said: "hello everyone, i thought ide make a little intro thread about myself just to let you guys know ill be asking a few questions around here from time to time. :D first off, i just want to thank misterjover for reffering (spelling?) me to this forum, which so far seems full of a lot of good info. ive read a bunch of threads already and have picked up some good stuff from it. im sure a lot of you guys are older and experienced in the market which is why i want to pick your brains! :) im 18 years old and going to college (freshman year) and figured, why wait til i get a degree to try and make some money/get some experience in the market and business world in general? ive been looking at it this way, if i get a headstart at 18, thats still a decent headstart in the market and business world in general. currently ive got a few grand i could safely play around with in the market, but i dont plan on throwing it all in at once and hoping for the best. i supposue thats why im HERE, to try and get as much valuable info and tips as possible; and then i can start trading etc. however, living in phoenix, arizona i know that our real estate potential is HUGE right now. and people are making up to 80 g's in a matter of months on new developments and then selling once they are developed (like a friend of mine, her father just bought a house that is currently being built for 115k, and they estimate by the time its done and the development is complete they can turn around and sell it for 200k. thats a good gain if you ask me!) the only problem with real estate for someone like me? im still living with my parents! ide love to make enough money in the market so that i could move out and possibly jump in on the real estate wagon while its still hot and i could make a good amount of profit. any tips on how i could get into real estate if i dont have 100,000's of dollars to mess around with? or is it even possible? sorry for the long post, thanks in advance!"
