Naps?

scl789 said: "What do you guys think about napster i am thinking its the new wave of the future downloading music and paying for it and not buying cds. But im not sure how well it will do because of Itunes and all the other companies around that can do the same thign and also the illigal downloads of mp3s as well. If people start buying songs instead of getting the illigaly i think the co will really take off what do you guys think?"

misterjover said: "That's a great pick. I'm buying shares of NAPS this week. :) This stock is one of my favs!"

Yoshimi said: "i dunno i think iTunes has that industry right now.."

AlfredSokol said: "Napster had its run in the Sun, I think."

misterjover said: "Napster's campaign is superior to iTunes. Napster appeals to serious music lovers who wish to download an unlimited number of songs on a small budget. Have you seen the Napster commercial? It goes like this: With iTunes 10,000 songs costs $10,000 With Napster 10,000 songs costs $15 a month with unlimited download features. An avid music collector will choose the latter. I believe that Napster has a superior business model and will attract a larger number of consumers. However, that's just my opinion, and nobody really knows who will win this race until the end of the next couple quarters. :)"

That's not something that college kids usually think of while they're getting something for free. I think they have the right idea. I'd sooner go back to the new, improved, and legalized Napster than submit to that Macintosh garbage!!!"

LongHauLRunner said: "The war between AAPL and NAPS will rage on throughout the year, and AAPL is obviously getting desperate to pump its own stock by anouncing a 3 for 1 split. Some see it as a sign of confidence, but I see it as a sign of fear of the competition in this case. I'm setting a $20 target price for NAPS by year's end."

HappyHarry said: "That 3 for 1 split is a on a HUGE float."

misterjover said: "Exactly. Too much dilution with AAPL imo."
