chahinemm said: "what effect can it have on the company on the short run? long run? what can the company do to reverse this tendency? chahine"

HappyHarry said: "I still see plenty of trucks with temp tags on them. I bet most people don't really care about gas all that much."

Heather said: "No, they don't. If people want trucks, they'll buy them. If a "new" company comes along with a logical alternative energy for our autos, it could prove pretty interesting."

HappyHarry said: "That's why the government hasn't bothered at all with a gas conservation message. They know most self-involved people won't bother."

bobjitsu said: "
That's why the government hasn't bothered at all with a gas conservation message. They know most self-involved people won't bother.
Hey, hey, hey...I'm not about to let anybody dictate what I drive, whether gas is $1 a gallon or $5 a gollon I'll drive what I want. The gas companies, Middle East countries or whoever will not make me drive something I don't want to. All of this just proves that drilling in Alaska is needed badly."

HappyHarry said: "I think you're not alone in your opinion. There's no way to tell the average consumer anything these days. I also don't think gas prices are going to stay high forever. Someone is bound to increase production and lower prices."
