Robotic Surgeries?

Heather said: "I was reading an article in IBD and guess what? London hospitals are testing a robotic surgeon! They have already used it to remove one persons kidney. It has 2 mechanical arms with a camera affixed so that a surgery can be done from anywhere. Hopefully the surgeon was good at video games!"

AlfredSokol said: "Makes sense, but I wouldn't trust it! Having a human do it scary enough."

Heather said: "The surgeons still do the operation, but they can do it from remote locations using the cameras that are on the electronic arms. I guess you could call that evolution in the medical field.."

AlfredSokol said: "I hope I don't have to have any of it. It's an avancement, but will it sell?"

Heather said: "I guess it would doctors to work from anywhere, and not have to be there. Wonder how this would affect malpractice suits. The doctors could blame the machines if something went wrong.."

chahinemm said: "which would intern blame the company that made it. chahine"

AlfredSokol said: "After watching Star Wars this weekend, I don't think I'd like the idea of most robots operating on me. :D"

Heather said: "LOL. I was reading somewhere the other day that there are some robots out there that can build a replicate of themselves. That's what I would call space age. Manufacture some skin and stuff and we can introduce a new race or two! (Clones and Robots)"

Gene said: "Technology is getting so radically advanced and so fast thats it almost frightening, but I try not to fall into that frame of mind and welcome the advances with open arms."
