Dumped about half of my GRMN also as she came back strong - dumped again - and recouped - all during today's market hours (really liking this one for her daily swings)...
Still need some serious "bullish action" to get my whole portfolio back in the green... but today provided some serious assistance to that effort.
Yes, I took some profits - cause I have no reason to believe there won't be another general "dump" in the very near future....
Hope your day went as well as mine....."
Ludemaster said: "I took some actions on GRMN today as well, a couple plays I have working right are 1K share position in Ford...only goin short term with this already up 4% and also have a Oct call options on ebay."

Don't feel to bad.. I took a tiny bit of profits yesterday on those also.... but got lucky and waited till today to unload a bit heavier(around 1200 shares)... leaving me only about 1000 shares in the bank."

KNBT (knbt) up 1.50% and AMD (amd) up 3.20%. I have a trailing stop set for AMD at $1. I'll tighten it to $0.75 now that I have a decent gain.
Heh... just noticed both stocks I'm trading right now are known as acronyms."

I have bragging rights to:
LCC 10.21%
CAL 10.3%
AMR 9.74%
MESA 6.79%
MXIM 5.94%
No new 52 week highs, but making a nice climb off the August (cash in your college fund) bottom.
Indicators still point up for the rest of the week."

Rickster had some excellent picks for today. Though I've never been a fan of airline stocks... a few more days like this may turn me around."
Rickster said: "No need to cry. :) Those are long term holdings that are still well below their earlier in the year highs. I'm just glad to see them coming back."

Or the day after... I always say - "every day is an opportunity" - it just takes a bit of work to find it. Today is quiet for my portfolio - everything is "up" but not enough to justify profit taking. I'm sitting really "heavy" in cash - and can't wait for another dump so I can buy something..... Today's "opportunity"?? Probably shorting some equities - but I can't bring myself to do so in the current climate..... (no juevos :( )"
Ludemaster said: "I'm about 60% in cash right now...my one mid-term play Sears..is up 6.79% might take profit soon...purchased it after cramer tooted it on his radio show and how its being heavily bought..letting the cramer effect do the rest. Company is as strong as ever as well as some new creative ideas being put into play that can only help their #'s"
