Z - I'm headed up at the first of the year. The waiting is DRIVING ME CRAZY! But, I wanted to save a little bit more money before I left, sell my motorcycle and car, and try to find, or at least get some ideas about, a job. However, the latter is proving to be pretty tough. I haven't even gotten a response from ANYONE that I sent my resume to.
That, or I'm going to have to go back to selling crack to middle school kids and strippin' on the weekends...:whacky011:
Hahaha.
In hindsight, I wish I would have just packed up and headed out when I made the decision, because it's definitely been tough to stick with the commitment when there's investments to be made, nice stuff to be bought, money to be wasted, friends to hang out with, and warm sunshine to enjoy here in Austin.
Guess I had, or still have, something to learn here.
I appreciate you remembering and asking about it and hope everything is going well on your side."

www.oicoptions.com - new site aimed at institutions, not much content yet but growing

Hope that helps.

Delta said: "I've read that book and I can't say that it provides much preparation for options trading. You're better off spending your time with one of the books or websites listed above."

Actually, you're probably better off asking Z's dog what he thinks about the subject... Kiyosaki is a quack."

I think I've heard of that book
I was gonna buy it before, but wasn't too sure if it's worth it? :whacky011:"
drdan said: "I have read Rich Dad Poor Dad and find Kyosaki's big picture thinking to be very sound - investing and creating your own business are the ways to become wealthy. However, with that said I have seen a couple things on his website that make me wonder such as his Real Estate crash panic he had a few months ago (I think it was just to sell a book) and his book Prophecy in which he is buying into the baby boomers retirement scare that is going to make the biggest crash in history, which I am not so sure about.
Also options are a tool. They are a trading tool or an investment insurance policy, not sure how that pertains to Rich Dad Poor Dad thinking."
Delta said: "Options are neither superior to nor inferior to stocks. They are merely two sides of the same coin. They can be used separately or to complement each other, such as writing calls against your stock position. It all depends on what you want to do. If you want leverage or to hedge an existing position, I suggest options. If you just want a straightforward directional play and aren't worried about leverage, or if you want to buy and hold a particular company, then I recommend stocks."
