Book Review: You Got Screwed!...

Mr. Gekko said: "Ok, another book review. Obviously this one was a short read considering I just post a review a few days ago. But, that doesn't mean it wasn't worth my time. I was hoping Jim Cramer's "You Got Screwed! Why Wall Street Tanked and How You Can Prosper" would be better than his new book. I got what I wished for. It is actually well written and informative. A majority of the book is a history lesson, in detail, about how and why the market soared in '99 & '00 and crashed shortly after. I'm know some of you here traded through that period. But, there are a lot of people here (like me) that were not involved in investing and had no clue what was going on. This book is for you. Enron, WorldCom (or World[B]CON[/B] as he puts it) are mentioned along with additional blame put on mutual funds, analysts and brokers (with explanation, of course). For anyone interested in what happened during this insane period in the stock market I would highly recommend this book. I started reading another book I got for Christmas on the town I grew up in. No financial connections but, if anyone's interested in my roots then look up "Around Bangor" by: Cindy LaPenna."
