Nutrisystems.... NTRI

thezster said: "NTRI was brought to my attention in the shout box today... Earnings were released early and she promptly dumped 15% on the day. I acknowledge that she's had phenomenal increases over the past couple of years... but have to wonder if today's dump was truly warranted. Is today's reaction to analyst predilictions really valid? I'm not sure.... Official earnings (along with guidance) will be released on Feb. 14th.... If guidance is good - I anticipate a nice healthy rise in price.... if guidance is lackluster - I think the shock is already built into today's price.... I picked up a simple 100 shares in aftermarket at $44.00.... just for grins n giggles.... I prefer to stick with industries/companies that I know... and I'll admit I don't know this one... but with the typical overreaction of today's marketplace - I'm going to bet - just a little bit - that she will come back enough to buy me dinner..... Feel free to chime in and make me feel bad..... Cause this is a strictly "hunch" play....."

Part 2: I don't know....."

TimberSeal said: " I may not hear the end of this one. As tempted as I was I coudn't bring myself to jump on it. She shed a lot of pounds already but I wasn't convinced of a rebound yet. Ol' Christie Alley isn't doing much for the company just yet :) Maybe tomorrow depending on what happens - right now AH isn't looking any better though. It's gotta come back though - right? :th_dblthumb2:"

TimberSeal said: "Hmmmmm. Looking at its history though I see a $2 or $3 bounce when it drops hard though. Assuming we're at the bottom I think you'll be aces there Z :th_coolio:"

thezster said: "THERE YOU ARE!!! I apologize... I couldn't remember who turned me onto this puppy..... If all goes well - Timberseal is the one who announced the huge dump today.... and deserves the credit for same..... On the other hand.... If I lose more than $300.... I'm coming after him with my big Z-stick!!:shoot:"

thezster said: "Down another 0.44 in pre market today.... shoulda gone with my initial instincts.... but - it's only 100 shares..... so I'm not horribly concerned..... It will be interesting to see how far down this puppy can go...."

thezster said: "Dumping hard this morning.... got rid of my 100 shares for a buck a share loss.... Guess momma will have to have beans n rice for dinner tonight.... It's going to be interesting to see just where the bottom lies for this one...."

TimberSeal said: "Sorry Z! That one was a crap shoot. It seems to still have a couple bucks to go."

thezster said: "
Sorry Z! That one was a crap shoot. It seems to still have a couple bucks to go.
Hey - it's what I live for.... I got out with a minor loss.... no big deal.... and am continuing to watch her... I put in another "buy" at $42.5 - if it happens, it happens... if not - oh well... I notice she's trying to hang around $43 this morning...."

thezster said: "NTRI - trying hard to stay above $43 - is the worst over?"

thezster said: "Cleared $44 - I coulda broke even... or even made a buck or two... typical overreaction yesterday, this morning.... but I wimped out... figuring it might react even further..... Bad Zster....."

thezster said: "Picked up a few hundred shares at $43.66 a couple of days ago... feeling the worst is over.... As of this moment - I've almost got my $100 loss back... but think I'm going to hang on to her for a while.... Can't help but feel this one will have a nice rise back to much higher levels.."

thezster said: "Up a buck in pre-market activity..... I knew my instincts were good.... it was just a question of finding the bottom - and getting back in!!"

TimberSeal said: "$45.27 not bad.... figured there would be a bounce. Just a matter of where from. That thing was falling hard and created alot of panic selling. I shoulda snagged some shares in the $43's but uncertainty got the best of me. Ah well.... next time :th_dblthumb2:"

thezster said: "Keep your eye on it on the 14th - when they reannounce earnings plus guidance..."

TimberSeal said: "We'll do... maybe we'll get a Superbowl endorsment from Dan Marino now that he's famous "

thezster said: "I hopped back on the Nutritrain today at $45.08. I noted she climbed to the $45.60's earlier before heading back to yesterday's close... and a touch lower - at which point I got back on board... Hope to make a couple of round trips before the 14th..."

JAP said: "I just finished my nightly scoping session... the chart on this one look great. :th_dblthumb2: Looking to pick up 500 on Thursday morning."

thezster said: "Dumped all my shares early in the mid $40's... and got back in again at $40 even.... She's slipping a bit today - but the market is down pretty heavy also..... Today's low seems reasonable to me - considering what I believe is the upside over the coming weeks....."

TimberSeal said: "How'd you pull off a buy a $40 Z? From what I saw she didn't sink below $43 unless I missed something. Wouldn't be the first time I missed the boat though!"

thezster said: "Ooooops... fat fingered that one.... I meant $45.... My apologies... but it's nice to know someone is paying attention..... Sold in the mid $45's ($45.40) - and bought back in at $45....."

TimberSeal said: "Figured either that or the paint fumes :signs053:"
