just throwing out a stock for everyone to do their own DD but i believe that this has the potential for huge gains."

I belive that it will definatly benefit in the short term from the FDA approval and the results of the study that was completed last year.
In the long run, one hopes someone will buy it."

Some outkaes,
"BSD Medical has never recorded an operating profit in the past 10 years. It generated most of its money "primarily from payments received for the sale of the company's holdings in TherMatrx, Inc."
"the relationship between BSM and one of its directors, Dr. Gerhard Sennewald (who is also essentially a controlling shareowner, with a 35% stake). Sales to a German company owned by Dr. Sennewald account for a large portion of BSM's revenues. In the just-reported second quarter, the $483,000 in sales to Sennewald's Medizin-Technik GmbH amounted to an astounding 73% of BSD's $661,000 total sales.
If revenues were increasing all across the board, that might not be so bad, but where related-party transactions jumped 145% year over year, sales to non-related parties dropped by 27%."
"What may not be so sweet is BSD's hyperbole regarding the benefits -- and endorsement -- of hyperthermia as an approved treatment. The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) has said doctors can "consider" adding hyperthermia as a cancer treatment, because even though prospective clinical trials have shown "heterogeneity" of results, there was an increase in tumor response when the treatment was added to radiation therapy. For those reasons, NCCN conferred a category 3 rating on the treatment, which signifies that there is a "major NCCN disagreement that the recommendation is appropriate." That's a far cry from BSD's claim that the NCCN has bestowed recognition on hyperthermia which "significantly supports the progressive emergence of hyperthermia therapy as a mainline therapy in the treatment of cancer.""

1) an earlier study with 12 patients was a success
2) the company already knows the results and still keeps issuing PR on it, which would make little sense if the results were negative
3) They will call a press conference following the official announcements of the results and they will present the study at a major conference.
The last time a major study was done successfully the stock jumped from 2 to 9$ (although it had a low P/E at the time), the results of this study will be released in the beginning of June.

SALT LAKE CITY, May 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BSD Medical Corp. (Amex: BSM - News) today announced that the results of a Phase III multi-center, randomized international clinical study involving 340 high-risk soft tissue sarcoma patients will be presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2007 Annual Meeting to be held in Chicago June 1-5. The purpose of this study was to compare the results for patients who received a combination of chemotherapy and hyperthermia therapy to those who received chemotherapy alone. The BSD-2000 was used in this clinical trial because of its ability to deliver precision-focused deep hyperthermia therapy. Soft tissue sarcomas are cancerous tumors located in muscle, fat or lymphatic tissue usually situated in the lower pelvis and/or the upper part of the extremities. This form of cancer affects both adults and children, and represents a formidable therapeutic challenge. Normally 50% of patients with high-grade sarcoma tumors die from the cancer. This high-risk soft tissue sarcoma trial has consequently been followed with interest by the medical community.
The study has been conducted under the direction of the European Society of Hyperthermic Oncology (ESHO RHT-95) and the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC 62961). Rolf Issels, MD PhD of the Munich University Medical School in Germany, is the principal investigator. Duke University Medical Center has been a participant as one of the research centers in this international clinical trial, which is listed on the National Cancer Institute's website at http://www.cancer.gov/clinicaltrials/EORTC-62961 under the NCI number NCT00003052.
BSD Medical will be sponsoring a press conference following the announcement of the results of this clinical study.
BSD Medical is the leading developer of precision-guided RF and microwave systems used to treat cancer with heat both to kill cancer cells directly and boost the effectiveness of companion treatments with radiation. This Phase III study involving high-risk soft tissue sarcomas is of keen interest to BSD Medical Corp. because it has been conducted using BSD systems in combination with chemotherapy, as compared to chemotherapy without hyperthermia treatments. BSD considers companion treatments with chemotherapy a very important potential use for its systems in addition to combination treatments with radiation.
