How do events like this impact the United States as an economic and world power? I can't imagine another country owning or running our market would be a good thing."

I guess what you are saying is that countries buy and sell exchanges often, and that America is also on the buying end of some of these deals?
That would make sense, I just didn't think of it like that at the time I started this post."
