jasonkind said: "Hey,
just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I'm looking for historical intraday charts for the DJI, FTSE, S&P etc. I've searched the internet but can't seem to find such data. Does it exist on the internet or would I have to go to a specialist library?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
JK"

But it's not intraday.
Prophet.net has the longest time span for free intraday charts that I'm aware of...and that's only 20 days. You could purchase data on a CD and then use it with charting software."

Have tried prophet.net. Signed for basic registration to look at the 20 day intraday charts but can't seem to do it. Checked out the FAQ and did what it said but no luck. Am I missing something? Does it not work on a mac?
Does anyone know any other websites."
LongArm said: "You don't need to sign up to use their intraday charts. From the mainpage, choose Analyze, then select JavaCharts. In the drop-down menu above the chart, choose 20 days. The intraday chart should come up and the frequency will automatically change to 30-minute bars. You can change this to as low as 1-minute bars, if you like. When you add a new symbol, hit the Go button. To zoom in on a particular day (for example), just drag your mouse across that day.
If the JavaCharts aren't working for you, you may need to install Java For Macintosh on your computer, or you may just need to enable Java on your browser.
You can also use SnapCharts instead of JavaCharts for 20-day intraday charts, but then you won't be able to zoom in and you're limited to 5-minute bars for 20 days (although if you go with 5 days, you'll then be able to use 1-minute bars). With SnapCharts, just choose 20 days from the drop-down menu next to Frequency, and the chart should come up with 5-minute bars.
If the intraday charts still aren't working for you, what is it specifically that you're doing and what is it that's happening (or not happening)?"

got it working now. Useful info.
It doesn't give historical data on FTSE or DAX though. Does anyone know if there is an online service providing historical intraday charts for these markets?
If no online service exists, would the data be stored in a library. I live in London so the British library is nearby.
Cheers"
