A good swing trade...CIAA good swing trade...CIA

Mentioned this stock here a few times in recent weeks and have been swinging it fairly regularly from 5.00-5.30. Today, it dropped lower than usual and went up higher than usual. A good thing? Who's to say. It's a nice-looking stock that's currently moving on no news. I wouldn't suggest getting in just yet (unless there's good news) because it's likely on its downturn cycle (but could always keep going up, of course).
It's one to watch as it continues creating this trading channel.

So it's a nice looking stock that can go up, or it can go down.
Another great call!"

Alfred, yes, the unusual decline could be a prelude to a larger drop. It's always a concern when a stock does something untypically negative during a green day. The one element I like is that traders came in and brought it back up fast as the day got even better. Recently coming off a major decline from a long consolidation, there's a strong chance the stock will either continue creating this channel (provided the status quo in Wall Street is maintained) or go up. I don't see this thing taking another big hit."

Expecting a return to the channel bottom, I sold yesterday and was pre-occupied with other stocks today to find a place to get back in. I never expected it to go up this big. Total shocker! Volume wasn't even that great.
I hope some of you has success with it. Now, I have to watch it all over again to see how it's going to move..."

How bought posting up your picks with a buy and sell target. That way us readers could emulate your remarkable success."
Cryogenix said: "Whatever...
I learned back in January that I suck at picking entry points, and started developing a plan and sharpening my skills to detect volume surges and when they positively act upon a stock. As such, I can't offer entry points, but sometimes post realtime in the shoutbox (such as yesterday with ONT four of five times) to indicate when it's ready to move again.
Exit points are whatever I feel I can get from the stock that the day will allow. Most times, depending on market moon, I look for .50-1.00 move and then sell. If there's room for a greater climb the following the day and beyond without much fear of bad enws hitting, I'll hold a bit longer."

Wow, what a nice gain today on such a red day. This stock is full of surprises."

Cryogenix said: "It's called an update... Thanks for the bump, though. :)
Last - 7.25 (stayed green all day, closing near the high of 7.27)
The stock's been on a heavy tear, even during red days, and should encounter some 2-month-old resistence around the 7.50 mark. Recent good earnings should help push it through that level, and I wouldn't expect any major struggle until it reaches 8.00.
It's been advancing on below-average volume with decent-sized buys, and if can attain and a hold the 7.80 level closing out tomorrow, I'd say there's a strong likeliness it will surpass its 52-week high of 8.23 next week.
As always, proceed with caution and determine if this play is right for you. It's definitely risky at this level, but busting a new 52-week high could send this thing much higher, and fast. Weigh the ROR."
Cryogenix said: "Last - 7.59 (high of 7.60, low of 6.96)
Made the high of the day right at the end, after pulling back from 9.50 and slowly declining all afternoon. A perfect setup going into next week. Provided the stock keeps doing its thing and no bad news hits, I'd say it's reasonable to expect it to surpass its 52-week high of 8.23 next week.
Good luck."
Cryogenix said: "Last: 7.34 (high 7.47, low 7.25)
Well, it never was able to break through the 8.00 mark. It seemed like it would, too.
Typically, I would follow the trend of the chart and say this stock is going to continue declining based on the 1-month, but something about the 10-day chart seems to indicate it's going to bounce off 7.30 and keep going up.
I'm still holding because there's never been a reason to sell."
Cryogenix said: "Last 7.10 (high 7.40, low 7.10)
I guess I should've stuck to my "typical" assessment, which was a further decline."
Cryogenix said: "Last 7.95 (high 7.95, low 7.20)
Went up huge yesterday on exceptional volume and made the high at the end of the day. Because I've been holding from the $5.80 range, I often forget I started this thread with "swing" in mind, so it's actually still doing what it used to do, only at a higher price.
The chart is set, the day doesn't look to be horrible, so I'm going to give one last prediction on this stock, and that's that it will exceed its 52-week high 0f 8.23 today. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say 8.72."
Cryogenix said: "Last: 8.39 (high 8.40, low 7.75)
Hit and surpassed its 52-week high fairly early, but nothing spectacular happened until the last 10 minutes of trading, where it closed 1 cent off the high.
Still going to hang in there to see what this new 3-year+ high brings. No good-sized buys coming in at the end, so maybe this won't go up as big as I think it will. However, once traders get a chance to digest and research, I think this will be seeing some nice action again tomorrow.
AH and pre will tell the tale..."
Cryogenix said: "Last: 8.00 (high 8.48, low 7.70)
This is my last update, since seeing the reaction to the 3-year high was all I was really waiting for. The potential "bigger" play was thwarted by a red day today, and I'm not sure how much luster that new high will have down the road. I'll hold a bit longer in my IRA, just in case there's a delayed reaction that might send the stock higher next week, but sold out of my margin account after seeing nothing promising happening early on.
Hope some of you made some money. :)"
Cryogenix said: "Last: 8.80 (high 8.80, low 8.00 - VOL 186,000)
Since this had such an amazing day on a such a bizarrely red trading day, and managed to skyrocket past its 52-week high to boot, I figured another update would be good, since it's now got free space to explore above it.
Volume still isn't where I'd like it to be, but it was well above-average.
Very risky but still has legs... I'm still holding in my IRA for this very reason. I think it's going up bigger than this."
Cryogenix said: "Last: 8.90 (high 8.93, low 8.05 - VOL 135,000)
Still a very sweet day/swing trade. Check out that high-low spread. :th_dblthumb2:
Still holding in my IRA. No reason to sell yet, but I think it's getting closer to that time. The larger swings should promote some really good action once it hits the 9.00 mark. Hoping for a surge to 10.00."
