Scalping, does it works?

AlfredSokol said: "Here's my understanding. Scalping is a strategy for trading forex that the trader uses to try and make multiple small profits with small price changes. Scalpers place anywhere from dozens to hundreds of trades in a single day because they believe that the small price moves are easier to catch than larger moves."

Rickster said: "As AS said, scalping involves taking lots of small profits (and losses). Like any other technique, it works if it suits your temperament. It takes a certain type of person to scalp. You need to be able to make quick decisions, not be concerned with right or wrong and be willing to take frequent losses with absolutely no remorse."

There are no indicators to read and not much monitoring - just let the strategy runs its course for the day. Is this a form of scalping?"

chahinemm said: "scalping in my opinion is not worth the stress. if u miss one trade u loose all the profit. im fervant beleiver of long term trending strategies in all securities so i guess that should help create some value out of it. chahine"

whiteblue1942 said: "scalping sounds like you need to have LOTS of money for this to actually work. seems like if you are trying to make a lot of little trades then brokers fees can add up quite quickly. seems like you would be better off in another field. IMO"
