CRYOGENIX - Question

Sebo said: "I can see you know alot about stocks. Where do you find these penny stocks. i know its on yahoo, but it asks to put the code of the company stock and i dont really know any of the codes. Im new to the stock market and i would appreciate any advice. Thank you. Sebastian"

Sebo said: "also, what account do you guys use to buy/sell your stocks?"

dmac1635 said: "I know little on the stock market and hope to learn more, but i can help you out sebo... First, Yahoo is Not the place to find these types of stocks. Most penny stocks are traded on the "Over The Counter Bulletin Board" or the OTCBB and some are traded on the "Pink Sheets." Simply go to: www . otcbb . com www . pinksheets . com P.S. There are no spaces in the websites lol.. I just can't post URLs yet "

Sebo said: "but how come cryogenix posts all his penny stock assumptions and proves it with yahoo URLS? What is the difference between yahoo and the two sites you posted?"

Sebo said: "i just checked the site and it shows stock thats are worth $0.0007 each. I know this is a penny stock. But arent penny stock also considered to be any stock that is worth $5 or less? (which are posted on yahoo). I dont plan to buy $0.0007 stocks just because it is quite difficult to earn alot of money on these types of stock"

Cryogenix said: "Sebo, any stock that trades in the sub-penny range (.01, .001, .0001) I'd really suggest you stay clear of. I've lost more money than I made off these things. They're not worth pursuing because not even beginner's luck is on your side. I won't tell you what stocks to trade, but I'd encourage you to start off buying maybe 100 shares of a solid, reliable, bedrocked stock and just watch and learn the habits of the volatile $1 stocks for awhile before attempting to trade them. You can find some stocks to research here... http://www.nasdaq.com/ http://www.nyse.com/listed/lc_A.html Or, you can do what I usually do, which is type in a couple random letters in http://finance.yahoo.com/ search and see what comes up and try to find some good stocks. I've found some great ones doing it that way. Beats starting through the list of A's and going through them all alphabetically. Too boring that way..."

Sebo said: "HEy cryogenix. Thanks for all the advice. I just opened an online trading account with a bank today :). if i do buy lets say 100 stocks. and they happen to increase in price, shouldnt i sell them rather than keeping them and learning the fluctuations? any advice is appreciated. also, where did you do most of your research as a beginner? I can see you are VERY well educated in this field THANK YOU"
