LongArm said: "If, for example, the bid price is currently $5.00 and the ask price is $5.20, then "bid size 50" means there are 5000 shares (you usually add 2 zeros to the size numbers) being bid on at the $5.00 price, and "ask size 2" means there are 200 shares being offered at the $5.20 price."

IOW, someONE is bidding for/offering shares at that price. There may be other orders behind that one for the same price.
