Buddy, you and I are in the same boat. I spent waaaaay too much for Xmas presents and throwing parties at my house during the past few weeks while I was on vacation, and I'm hunting for my next tripple-bagger.
My first one was PalmOne when it was only 1.40 a share, and now I'm looking for the next big bang.
I missed the boat a year and a half ago with BLUD (Immucor) when it went from 10 to 40. Since then it has split and is growing steadily.
I'm keeping an eye on several penny stocks and others in the 3-7 dollar range which might be the next low float 100% daily runners.
Other than that, I've been shorting stocks and covering after 7 to 12% gains lately just to be on the conservative side.
I'll post my next big buys here once I've done enough DD and built up enough confidence in them. But for now, don't be afraid to short a few of the stocks I've posted for a quick gain and when you're daytrading don't forget to set your stop limits to CYA.
:D"

my first impression of trading or shorting a stock is not good not for me ... i don't have the comfort in mind of a successfull trade...

Yoshimi said: "misterjover, what are those 3-7 dollar stocks your looking into? i wanna check them out..."
misterjover said: "One that I've been looking at is TCOW, and I'm hoping that it reaches an equilibrium point and breaks out beyond it's regular pumping stage. Check it out and let me know what you think. I'm sort of embarrassed to show the others right now, but I'll post some up soon.
:)"
HappyHarry said: "Tucows? These guys are the domain registration and software download place, right?
Looks like they are relatively profitable. Why were they delisted?"
misterjover said: "They were delisted because they didn't maintain the necessary price, volume, and outstanding shares to be on the nasdaq I think.
Another stock that I've been checking out is APYM.
Higher highs, and higher lows.
Tons of good news day after day."
HappyHarry said: "Depends on your definition of good news I guess.
This company has a negative balance sheet"
misterjover said: "Absolutely. Like most penny stocks, they are in the hole, but I'm keeping track of it to get a better reading of their future earning potential with all their new alliances and contracts.
I'm just hoping it's not just another pump and dump stock."
Yoshimi said: "GPGI is the way to go, soon it will boom up...and this is no joke. ;)"
HappyHarry said: "Why are you so sure?"
misterjover said: "Have you guys checked out GRU?
They came up with www.answers.com, and it might be an interesting play for the next few months."
Darren said: "Is that website all they have?"
Yoshimi said: "If any of you remembered, I posted a thread on ESLR about two weeks ago, when it was at around 3.80, well now it is at 5.25!!! Did any you get in on this? I couldn't because I'm so sold on GPGI. But I would wait for this to dip down to maybe 4.00, and buy it then."
AlfredSokol said: "Sounds like you had a winner there. Next time you need to have your cash ready."
Yoshimi said: "agreed...but also i have a problem int he market, I am way too cautious, when i find a stock i like i rarely buy into it because im so scared or whatever, i just need to trust my instinct and buy when i like a stock...its a problem i have"
chahinemm said: "initially i had thesame problem... i started paper trading for a while to get the confidence i needed when i started to notice that i was wasting opportunities i would trade but some level of caution... now i trade without fear and sometimes listen to my instincts and they have done good to me till now so i don't complain.. not massive gains but descent...
my suggestion is paper trade for a while with the same amount of capital u have in ur account and try to get rid of the scare u have first and slowly move into market...
I hope helps;)

thanx chahine...i think im gonna try that...but still ill have my money in a stock lol, GPGI haha...but im gonna do that to build up my confidence"
misterjover said: "Nice picks Yoshimi.
It's actually better to be overly cautious than too impulsive."
AlfredSokol said: "You need to be greedy when it's time to be greedy. But you won't get wiped out being too cautious like you will if you're too foolhardy."
misterjover said: "SweeT.
Ever since I mentioned GRU here it has climbed 40%!!
Expect a short drop this week, and take a peek at NAVH.
This firm is a diamond in the rough, and although it's currently at 1.65, don't be surprised if it hits the $3 mark by the year's end.
This is a low volume stock that people don't like to sell at bid price, which results in incremental, consistent growth along the span of several months.
If you're the type who likes to hold them, this stock is perhaps for you.
ANOTHER one... is PHST. This stock is one which just became profitable... as of Friday.
(as you can see by the recent price surge)
The target price for this is $5 by year's end.
Check it out and do your own research, but don't be afraid to get a high entry price even if it doesn't dip on Monday.
:)"
Firefighter said: "I mentioned FLIP in another thread under SIRI.
FLIP is a retail wireless provider that deals with wifi hot spots and satelite broadcasts. They just made a deal with Sirius for their products. It is interesting to note that they have been in a major acquisition mode for the past 2 yrs, made 8 acquistions from Philadelphia to Tampa Bay area . In February they will be opening a Superstore for their products. They reported their last quarter of reducing their convertible debt to $400,000 and by the end of 2005 first qtr or early 2nd qtr they are completely erasing all their debt......something that most microcap companines would love to do, and they are barey in their 3rd yr. 1st yr only made 100,000-----2nd yr made 750,000------2005 expect to make 3-5 million. You can watch the interview of the CEO on MoneyTV.net they had 2 weeks ago.
At .16 a share, this might be worth buying into and holding for a while.
Any comments on this company?"

Buddy, I've been watching this all week ever since you posted it.
It was on the big boards a couple years back, and it sunk down to its deepest depths recently until shaking hands with SIRI and Alltell.
Now that its future projections are looking rosy, the certainty of its profitability is almost undeniable. If it reaches positive figures by the end of the year, we might be looking at a three dollar stock or higher.
All I can say is buying and holding this stock definitely won't hurt if the positive press releases keep coming like they have been during the past few months.
At 0.16 a share, it's a steal for traders who are looking to hold and keep."

misterjover said: "NAVH has risen to $2.10 a share or about 30% since my post, and it will continue to climb to its target before the selloff.
PHST is trading sideways at the moment, and GRU has skyrocketed, giving everyone plenty of trading opportunities every morning."

Apym has been up 40% since this post. I should've held this stock but I rode it only up to 1.10.
This is an example of a strong firm with a strong chart and a strong product.
edit*
by the way, I urge people to do their own research before acting on any of my stock posts."

misterjover said: "Since penny stocks are so cheap, their prices are more sensitive to fluctuation.
Being involved with groups and message boards helps alot because
investing in penny stocks involves a greater degree of research
and TA.
With more people contributing to a stock's research, we can gain
a solid image of what the stock will truly become in the future,
and as we spread good news or positive projections of a stock
throughout our network, people buy in and the price tends to
skyrocket quite quickly.
There are other groups who simply buy a stock and pump it
for a day or two and leave it for whoever catches their shares....
... so be very careful with penny stocks because they are more
susceptible to group manipulation."
HappyHarry said: "Let's point out something also:
Many penny stocks companies are fraud operators. Many have been the subject of federal and local investigations. If you buy stocks in certain over the counter stocks, you are partnering with felons and the mafia. Let's be clear: stocks that sell for pennies generally do so for a reason.
If you are a savvy technical investor like Mister Jover is, I have no doubt you can do well. But for the newbies, just follow my caution a bit. It's not meant to disturb you, but to clue you in to do some research. At least contact the company, and make sure they exist. If they have a physical location, visit it. It's easier to get hosed in the back alleys of penny stocks than on the main street of blue chips."

Precisely. Selling shares and getting listed on the otcbb is a process that is actually easier than obtaining a 30 year home loan. Many companies exist only in essence, and when you are doing research on a penny stock, it is imperative to verify your information with reliable sources.
