Real Estate in PanamaReal Estate in Panama
Panama_Marla said: "Greetings everyone! I have been following this forum for quite a while now and this is my first posting to offer my services. My name is Marla Rucker and I am a property consultant here in Panama. I work for a company called Cpanama Real Estate Corp, and our office is on Balboa avenue right here in the heart of Panama City. I know that many of you are using the internet as a tool to research a possible move to Panama, and some are even considering investing down here. I can tell you that now is a great time to invest, but the process can be a bit daunting. There are literally hundreds of real estate agents out there, and some are not as professional as others. I would like to offer my services to anyone that has any questions about the investment climate down here, what to watch out for, and really any type of inquiry whatsoever!
Warmest Regards,
Marla Rucker

FirefighterB said: "Marla,
I'm very interested in property in a country I know nothing about in a real estate market that sucks just about everywhere. So, of course, why not trust someone that makes money solely depending on whether I buy or not to help me through the process? Because, as a commission based agent that only earns money if I buy, I'm sure you have my absolute best interests, and not a paycheck for yourself (or just stealing my deposit), in mind.
Please call me at 1-800-PIS-SOFF.
Warmest Regards
Heywood Jablowme
P.S. Before you try to rebut my statement, know that I worked as a licensed apartment broker in New York City. I got out of the business for many reasons; the necessity to BS people or I wasn't going to be getting a paycheck being the main one."

Actually, Panama has a fair bit going for it as an emerging property market.
My problem with it is that there's more coast and low-lying land than there is mountain (from a RE perspective, anyway). And that's not good when the seas start to rise :-/
Cheers!"
FirefighterB said: "While it might be a bit harsh, one of the reasons this forum is great is that, relatively, we have a low level of spammers and people trying to push worthless BS.
This allows worthwhile discourse and, also, helps keep newbies from falling in a BS trap."
Maverick Investor said: "I completely agree about the lack of spammers.
However, she did seem to be genuinely offering to help anyone who was considering Panama as an investment destination (and many are!) Sure, she makes her living selling RA, but she didn't come on to us with the latest whizz-bang beachfront development at a 35% discount.
And that ought to count for something?
Cheers!"
LongArm said: "She was spamming, pure and simple. Just because someone might possibly benefit from her services is irrelevant and doesn't make her any less a spammer."

Must've been a glitch. I only responded because it was at the top of the forum in "unread bold." I wouldn't care to go bring up a thread that was already buried."
