Heather said: "I think it will drive up prices, without a doubt. Corn is a staple in many homes and ethanol requires a lot of it. The last time I priced corn (it's out of season) at the grocery store they were charging $4.99 for 4 ears of it."

electronicsseller said: "of course the price will be driven up, people have to eat to supply their lives ,corn can be made into all kinds of food ,if there are less corn planted ,i believe there would be terrible ."

pranith said: "I think if there is a scarecity in the corn arises then sure that there will be increase in prices."

AlfredSokol said: "Corn is getting more scarce simply because of the attempts to use corn in biofuels. I have to admit that biofuels are starting to piss me off because they're nothing more than an idea that isn't working that great and it's causing food items to go up in price. It almost makes you think the food companies are pushing biofuels just to get more per item."
