Seems typical limit orders average $6.00 - 14.00 depending on brokerage house and your level of trading. I pay $7.95 per trade as a preferred customer at E-trade..... averaging $10,000/year (yeah, that's right, unfortunately) in commissions. I've considered looking for cheaper houses.... but am totally happy with the customer service (things "do" go wrong - and instant customer service is a definate plus) so I stay with them year after year.... You get what you pay for..........."
