New to the Neighborhood

larry said: "Hello everyone... I am new to the forum and I just wanted to introduce myself. I am learning how to work with the stock market and the wonderful world of investing. I hope I don't get in the way, but I really thought this forum might be able to help me learn some things. So, I look forward to talking with you all."

AlfredSokol said: "Nice to have you on board! I'm a student of the stock market as well and it's a very interesting subject indeed."

Heather said: "Hello and welcome to the forum! It's great to have you here. Have you invested in any stocks yet?"

larry said: "Hello! Thanx for the warm welcome. I have not invested in any stocks yet. I am currently trying to think of how to go about learning the stock market and what dangers and benefits it can bring me if I do it on my own. I was thinking of taking $1000 or some amount of "fake" mone and pretending to invest for a while to see how it works. Do you think this is a good strategy or do you know others that work well for learning the ropes before actually putting money in risk?"

HappyHarry said: "That's always a good idea, Larry. You can paper trade and see how you would do without losing any dough. Pretty much just start reading and checking out information and you'll start to get more and more immersed into the subject."

AlfredSokol said: "Whatever you do, go easy at first. It sucks to lose money."

larry said: "Thanx guys. Great avatar bobjitsu. I'll try not to lose my money, but risk is part of the business, is it not?"
