Do you consider it insider information?Do you consider it insider information?

Warren Buffet notwithstanding.......... think it's time to sell short - for the long term?"
HappyHarry said: "No, I don't consider that insider info. You don't need to be inside to find out that info. I'm sure you could learn that from a buddy who worked at the plant.
Yes its time to short them if they have production problems."
thezster said: "While the past 4 weeks have been difficult to "maintain the course"... the idea paid off! BUD hits 5 year low on lower volumes............."
HappyHarry said: "Glad to hear it worked out. Congrats."

Ricky"
thezster said: "Your guess is as good as mine. BUD has been downgraded lately by a couple of big houses with a new 12 month target of $41. Does that tell you anything? I'm not buying back in until I see something in the $39.00 range....
Then again.... I understand that sales are up this quarter so far.........
While I made a couple of bucks shorting BUD recently, I still own about 400 shares in my "long term" account... and have no plans to sell them. Never count A/B "down and out".... they are the best at what they do and, long term, I've made over $100K with them over the past 3 years."

In good times, people celebrate by having a beer.
In bad times, people will give up a lot of things... but not their beer...."

Is this a long term hold kind of stock?"

IMO - absolutely. Right now, I would look for a $39ish price to get in.... before next earnings announcement (as sales are pretty good this quarter). BUD pays outstanding dividends every quarter also ($1.00+/share/year). As I mentioned, I've got a bit over 400 shares in my long term account - and my wife has a bit over 1300 shares in hers. Then again........ I'm biased - after working for them for 16 years.........."

...Amen...."
srtricky said: "I'm also waiting for my 38-39 dollar range before I buy. First stocks I will ever buy will be BUD (if they get in the 38-39 range) and plni (penny) I'm thinking 5k into bud (which I can't afford to lose) and 250 into plni (gambling is my addiction) lol "
thezster said: "Personally, I think you've got a good idea going on... Hope it works out... I'll be right there beside you when BUD hits the $39ish range... with the same perspective and possibly a couple more shares..."
thezster said: "Up $1.00 in pre-market activity..........
Anheuser-Busch (BUD, Trade) garnered notice in Barron's Online, which said the stock will regain its lofty levels. The St. Louis-based behemoth controls 50% of the U.S. beer market, is twice the size of its nearest competitor, has far more pricing power and commands the "most potent" distribution and marketing system in the U.S., the weekend magazine said."
HappyHarry said: "This is very attractive right now."
srtricky said: "Should have bought at $40.50 instead of waiting for $38-$39 "
